Welcome to FellowMap

FellowMap helps communities stay connected by providing an easy way to find and connect with fellow members, view family information, and see where everyone is located on an interactive map.

Getting Started

1. Download and Install

  • Download FellowMap from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
  • Requires iOS 17.0 or later

2. Login with Email Verification

  1. Open FellowMap and enter your email address
  2. Tap "Send Verification Code"
  3. Check your email for the 6-digit verification code
  4. Enter the code to log in
Note: You must be invited by your administrator to access your organization's community. Contact your administrator if you cannot log in.

3. Enable Location Services

To use map features and see distances to families, allow FellowMap to access your location:

  • Go to Settings β†’ Privacy & Security β†’ Location Services
  • Find FellowMap and select "While Using the App"

How to Use FellowMap

Viewing the Map

  • The Map tab shows all families in your community
  • Pins are color-coded by family role (Elder, Deacon, Member, etc.)
  • Tap any pin to see a preview card at the bottom of the screen
  • Swipe up on the card to see more details
  • Tap the mini map icon in family details to return to the main map

Browsing the Family List

  • Tap the List icon in the bottom tab bar to see all families
  • Use the search bar at the top to find specific families or members
  • Families are sorted by distance from your location (nearest first)
  • Tap any family to view full details

Viewing Family Details

  • See family photo, name, address, and member count
  • Expand "Family Members" to see all members with their roles
  • Tap email or phone to contact family members directly
  • Use "Get Directions" to open Apple Maps with driving directions
  • Use "Share" to share family information with others

Updating Your Profile

  1. Go to the Profile tab
  2. Tap "Update Profile"
  3. Edit your family's address (street, city, state, ZIP code)
  4. Update member information (name, email, phone, role)
  5. Add new family members with the "+" button
  6. Tap "Save" when finished

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I join my community on FellowMap?

A: You must be invited by your administrator. Contact your administrator to get access to your organization's FellowMap community.

Q: Who can see my family information?

A: Only members of your organization who have access to FellowMap can see your family profile. Your information is not shared with anyone outside your community.

Q: Can I use FellowMap without sharing my location?

A: Yes, but some features will be limited. Without location access, you won't see distance calculations or your current position on the map. You can still view families, search members, and update your profile.

Q: How do I change my family's address?

A: Go to the Profile tab, tap "Update Profile", edit your address fields, and tap "Save". Your family's location on the map will update automatically.

Q: I didn't receive a verification code. What should I do?

A: Check your spam/junk folder. If you still don't see it, make sure you entered the correct email address. Wait a few minutes and try requesting a new code. If problems persist, contact your administrator.

Q: Can I add multiple families?

A: Each user account is associated with one family profile. If you need to manage multiple families, contact your administrator.

Q: How do I delete my account?

A: To delete your account and data, contact your administrator. Your information will be removed within 30 days.

Q: Is my data secure?

A: Yes. We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission, secure email verification for login, and strict access controls. Your information is only visible to members of your community. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Troubleshooting

App is not loading or crashing

  • Make sure you have the latest version of FellowMap from the App Store
  • Restart your device
  • Check that you have a stable internet connection
  • If the problem persists, contact support

Map is not showing families

  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure location services are enabled for FellowMap
  • Tap the map to refresh
  • Try logging out and logging back in

Distance calculations are inaccurate

  • Ensure location services are enabled and set to "While Using the App"
  • Check that your device's location settings are correct
  • Move to an area with better GPS signal

Can't update profile

  • Make sure all required fields are filled in (address, city, state, ZIP, member names)
  • Check that you have a stable internet connection
  • Try again after a few minutes
  • If the issue continues, contact your administrator
